All things strings!! With a full timetable of music to listen to and participate in, demonstrations and stringed info galore, it'll be a busy, noisy action-packed day for all.
Open rehearsals - visit and observe string quartet and trio rehearsals
Specialist sectional coaching - be coached by CWYM staff and visiting professionals, ably assisted by WYO principal string players
Introductions to the endangered viola and double bass species - have the opportunity to try out these lesser-spotted stringed instruments!
Mass string ensemble - an ensemble of three parts - with individual rehearsals and coaching tailored to Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced playing levels, culminating in a Mass ensemble collaboration, with performance at the end of the day
Performance demonstrations from professional tutors and WYO string principals alike
Meet a luthier - see how stringed instruments work, are made and repaired!
Final performance at the end of the day.
All playing levels welcomed.

Participation for current CWYM members - free, Participation fee for non-members: £5 payable by cheque upon return of completed application form.
